A Word About Awards Night

Awards night is this Monday, May 16th at 5:30 PM.  The evening begins with a wonderfully delicious potluck meal with lots of friendly conversation with other school families.  Quickly after the meal is served, the awards will begin.  As a word of warning, in kindergarten not everyone gets an award.  Students who met their Book It! goal at least 5 months during the year will receive a certificate, effort and leadership awards will be handed out, and perfect attendance (which we have none this year) will be announced.  It is a great evening for families to get together and celebrate the year and we all know how hard ALL of the students have worked this year and how much they have grown. I just don't want any kindergarten students waiting around all night and being disappointed when they don't receive an award.
